Our School

Freeman Community Primary School is a happy, caring community of 204 children in the village of Stowupland, near Stowmarket. We are part of the Children’s Endeavour Trust as one of eight primary schools across the Stowmarket and Ipswich areas.

Your responsibilities

You will support the newly appointed Headteacher in providing a clear direction for the development of the school. You will lead, support and motivate staff, encouraging good relationships and working practices and adopt responsibility for the management of the school in the absence of the Headteacher.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who will:

· lead by example, holding and articulating clear values which are focused on providing an excellent education for all pupils.

· be experienced in curriculum leadership, ensuring that every child has a well-rounded education through a dynamic and challenging curriculum.

· be an inspirational leader and innovative teacher who is an exemplary role model for teaching and learning in the school.

· promote inclusion and remove all barriers to education and extracurricular activities.

· have a strong commitment to ensuring children’s social, emotional and mental health needs are met.

· lead and be the line manager of the MDSAs, providing support and assistance as needed.

· Provide pastoral support for other members of staff by listening, advising, encouraging, helping, co-ordinating and, where appropriate, drawing problems to the attention of the Headteacher.

Abbot's Hall - Midday Supervisory Assistant 

Abbot’s Hall is a successful and popular school in the heart of Stowmarket that benefits from hardworking and dedicated staff, well behaved children who all want to be the best they can be and fantastic grounds.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children. The successful candidate will need to be reliable, a good time keeper, confident when dealing with pupils, good communicator, team player, calm and willing to undertake any training relevant to the post, including first aid.

The post involves supporting, engaging and playing with children through lunchtime, supervision of the dining hall and playground. 1 hour 35 minutes each day from 11.45am until 1.20pm.

Salary will be: Single status grade 2, point 2, £11.59 per hour (£22,366 full time equivalent).

This post is term time only (38 weeks per year), for 7 hours and 55mins (7.92) per week and is a permanent position.
