This is what our pupils do:

Performances

We bring year groups together to watch Theatre Group Performances – our year 5s attended a French Theatre Performance.

Our schools have performance themes to work on and share with other schools – for National Storytelling Week pupils read and recorded stories and then shared these as videos.

We will be putting on a Trust winter concert in December at the Ipswich Corn Exchange to share our singing talent.

Literacy

Book Clubs – we hosted online books clubs in the pandemic to bring pupils together across school to discuss books, such as Asha and the Spirit Bird.

Maths

We have annual Times Table Rockstars competitions across schools, to motivate pupils to practice their tables as much as possible. Chilton Community Primary are our current champions.

This is what our staff do:

Annual Inset Training

Once a year, our teachers come together in September for a shared training morning. We are currently planning our next one, which will be led by Mary Myatt, a national education adviser, writer and speaker who works to develop thoughtful work on the curriculum and wider school improvement.

Headteachers

Our Headteachers take part in structured peer review to support and challenge each other on key school priorities.

Leaders

Our Headteachers, Deputies, Designated Safeguarding Leads, Special Education Needs Co-ordinators, Early Years Foundation Staff, Office Leads and Early Help Staff come together on a routine basis and all work in collaborative groups.

Teachers

Our teachers meet twice a year in subject groups and twice a year to moderate writing.

Early Career Teacher Mentors

Our mentors have termly meetings to network and share good practice.

Trainee and Early Career Teachers

We were a founding strategic partner of EastSCITT Initial Teacher Training and developed the primary training offer. This year we are running in-house pilot projects for Trainee and Early Career Teachers to develop their practice in supported groups.
